Creating Home is a professional interior design business offering affordable redesigns, home styling, color consultations, space planning, décor, furniture sourcing, home staging, and organization in the Broomfield, CO area.
We are a small business that wants to help you with the important projects, large or small, that can make your home perfect-for-you!
What We Do
We offer affordable interior design options by using your existing décor items to inspire a new, fresh look to your living space. Our services and packages are priced beforehand with a flat fee – no mounting hourly costs or cost-plus fees. We also offer multiple levels of service (from inspirations, to consultations, to implementations) from which to choose to fit your budget. Your project might be more affordable than you thought (we commonly work with total budgets less than $1000)! Just contact us for a free quote or to get more information.
Owned & Operated by Marla Schulte
Marla Schulte, the owner and creative problem solver behind Creating Home, launched her second career in 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colorado Christian University and put her skills to use teaching high school and middle school math for 10 years. During her time teaching and moving around the country (from Nebraska, to Tennessee, to California, to North Dakota, to North Carolina and finally back to Colorado), Marla designed and decorated seven of her own homes. She experienced the value firsthand of having a home that is beautiful and functional, even if it isn’t perfect (or long-term). Marla now uses her eye for layouts, patterns and detail to help others create and enjoy the beauty in their homes. Her talent and value are obvious from her past projects. Marla also loves to try new design ideas in her own home (for her husband and three young boys, twins plus one), so she knows how to incorporate real life into all her design and organizational solutions!
